June 22, 2010Dear Candidate : Thank you for your commitment to serve the public’s interest. As a candidate for the U.S. Congress, you know that voters are passionate about their own health and the future of our nation’s health overall. To increase transparency and voters’ awareness of their candidates’ views on such a critical issue, Research!America and our partners are launching the Your Candidates–Your Health initiative for 2010. As in 2006 and 2008, voters and media nationwide will be able to find congressional candidates’ positions on health and research in this single, easy-to-search website. We invite you to participate in our 2010 Your Candidates–Your Health initiative by completing the enclosed questionnaire. To submit responses to our questionnaire, you or your staff may:
Upon receipt of a complete or partially complete questionnaire, we will post your responses on www.yourcandidatesyourhealth.org. A profile with your name, photo and contact information is currently live on the website. Research!America is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3), education and advocacy alliance representing more than 125 million Americans. Your Candidates–Your Health is a voter education initiative only. Responses will be published as submitted, and candidates will not be endorsed.
